For my project revision of this paper, I was able to accomplish what I had hoped for even though I had to take quite a bit out of my original paper. When revising my rhetorical analysis paper I made changes to further strengthen my analysis of the World War II poster. In my original paper, I had briefly touched on the actual analysis of the poster but this time around I had gone deeper into the message it conveys. In my revision, I talked more about the scene in the poster, what it resembled, and how it spoke to the audience. This poster displays the unity of countries all over the world with the same goal in mind, stop the Axis powers. The unity is shown by the flags being flown high and mighty above the battleground with tanks, battleships, and fighter jets leading the charge towards the enemy. In addition to breaking down the poster, I also gave a bit of background of the war and artist who made the original poster. When giving the background, I mainly talked about the United States role (since that is were the poster is from).
The website format provided some challenges when converting the paper into website and definitely influenced many radical changes to my original paper. I had to leave out some information and elaborate more on what I included to make the website flow better. The website also made organizing a bit tougher since I had to leave some things out and put others in. Another issue that I had was trying to keep my ideas concise, while at the same time include a lot of detail in my descriptions. There was a lot of information I wanted to add to my website from my paper, but it would not all fit and still look good. During this revision process, I learned how to compact my ideas while still keeping the original thoughts initial message. It was a struggle to achieve this goal, but after many trials and errors, I was able to accomplish something I was proud of. This project, I believe, helped me with my writing skills in the fact that I was forced to avoid any unnecessary sentences and filler words to make it longer.
